The Okrug Governor’s press-service informs:

Today at the Government meeting it was adopted the Okrug target-oriented program “New School of Ugra” for 2010-2013.

The document was  made in compliance with the tasks of Russia’s President, RF Government and Governor of the Autonomous Okrug in the sphere of modernization of education and is a basic mechanism of the “Our new school” national educational initiative implementation in the region.

The program has a complex character and is aimed at increase of high-quality education availability in compliance with requirements of innovational development of the region’s economy, contemporary requirements of the society and every inhabitant of Ugra regardless from his/her social status and place of residence.

Making a presentation about the program Governor of Ugra Natalia Komarova said: “You should understand correctly the scopes of it – it is one of the most expensive programs which will require annually while there years about 10 % of the Ugra consolidate budget. The cost of the initiative amounts to about 55 billion rubles. The necessity of such program is justified by two serious  reasons as minimum. First of all, over 7 ths. criticisms about schools safety have been corrected yet. Secondly, the expected deficit of places at pre-school facilities – over 50 ths., at institutions of basic education – over 18 ths. In this situation there are no  alternatives for the complex program – the “New school of Ugra” program should be launched this year.

The program  goals are to increase of children’s coverage with pre-school and  extended education, to increase of teachers’ professional level and quality of pupils’ training, to equip Ugra schools with energy-effective equipment, to make the educational process  safe and interesting.
