The Okrug Governor’s
press-service informs:
The formation of the
e-government in the constituent entities of the Urals Federal District
was the key topic of the discussion while the video-conference to be
chaired by Plenipotentiary representative of Russia’s President in the
Urals Federal District.
Representatives of the regions
told about the implementation of the projects on the development of
information society, determined key problems in this sphere.
First Vice Governor Alexander
Kim in his speech said that the Okrug was rather attractive in this
regard. “This potential will be increased. Financing for providing
additional services is expected to be increased. For example, for the
development of the Internet public access centers. In Ugra there are
268 such centers and 20 ones are expected to be created”, - emphasized
the First Vice Governor.
In the near future the
development of the regional program “Information society - Ugra” will
be finished. This program will expand the range of municipal
services, provided in e-form, renewal of the Okrug web-site.
At present a wide range of
e-services for the population and business is available on the site.
The events have been organized to increase the population’s computer
literacy, and over 5,5 ths. people of Ugra have been taught at
training courses.
The key problem to be discussed
at the video-conference is high tariff rates in the region for the
wideband access to the Internet. Now the average cost of this service
amounts to 705 rubles per month. Alexander Kim emphasized that the
negotiations with suppliers of telecommunications services have been
held to solve this problem.
Deputy Plenipotentiary
representative of Russia’s President in the Urals Federal District
Alexander Beletski recommended to pay attention to the development of
competitive market of services’ suppliers.

Today, on the anniversary of the
Great Patriotic War beginning, Governor of Ugra Natalia Komarova laid
flowers to the memorial of glory in Khanty-Mansiysk. At the eternal
flame the head of the region with deputies of the regional Duma
honored the memory of soldiers who fell in battles.
Over 17 ths. men fro Ugra fought
at the war, half of them never came back.
On the Day of Memory and Grief
the events will be held in towns of the region, the movies about the
Great Patriotic War will be shown, meetings with veterans to be
devoted to the army and labor deed of the people while the war will
take place.
